Quality/ Aerospace Engineer

Job Title: Quality/Aerospace Engineer

JBK Manufacturing is recruiting a Quality/Aerospace Engineer. We are a growing company, and we are looking for a candidate that is looking for a growth opportunity and a long-time career.

To effectively support the overall plant quality system as well as working with suppliers and customers to meet company objectives for new product development and improvement of existing product lines. Effectively analyze problems and provide solutions internally and to our external customers.

Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Creation of quality documents and development of Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing.
  • Maintain and revise Quality Assurance Procedures and Instructions as necessary to assure ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS13100 registration.
  • Perform internal audits and identify quality system improvements to ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D).
  • Maintain product inspection control plans.
  • Identify and determine quality requirements necessary to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Work closely with manufacturing staff to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is currently maintained. In addition, implement any new changes or adaptations based on a quality review.
  • Complete and submit First Article Inspection documents to customers.
  • Maintain and effectively apply knowledge of statistical process control concepts such as variation, control, and process capability.
  • Investigate non-conformances and assist manufacturing and engineering teams in determining effective corrective actions.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100D and AS13100.
  • Knowledge in statistical process control concepts such as variation, stability, and process capability.
  • Experience in the metal cutting and fabrication industry preferred.
  • Use of dimensional inspection tools and coordinate measurement machines.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Minitab, Mitutoyo MCOSMOS, MeasurLink, Unipoint Quality modules, Job Boss ERP.
  • Effective and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask.
  • Time management skills. Ability to prioritize and work under strict timelines.
  • Logical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Researching standards for quality provisions.
  • PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, Control Plans etc.
  • Six Sigma experience and/or ASQ CQE preferred.
  • Background in defense or aerospace industries.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a quality function within a manufacturing environment.
  • GE DSQR and Rolls-Royce SABRe 4 DQR.

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

JBK Manufacturing is recruiting for a Quality Control Technician. We are a growing company and we are looking for qualified candidates that are looking for growth opportunities and a long time career.

As a Quality Control Technician, you will uphold the safety of our company and supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations. Perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production process. Quality control inspectors examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications.

Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints and specifications.
  • Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
  • Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced.
  • Measure products with calipers, gauges, CMM or micrometers
  • Accept or reject finished items.
  • Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
  • Report inspection and test data.
  • Resolve quality related issues in a timely manner.
Required Skills/ Abilities:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Quality Control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Familiarity with quality testing machines and systems
  • Experience with calipers, gauges, CMM and micrometers
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • High School Degree; Further qualifications will be a plus
